Are you always in a rush? Do you feel that life is too short? Do you think that there are so many things to do within a day but there is so little time?

Well, many have thought of such and I am not an exception. We always rush to school, rush to work, rush our dreams and rush other things. It seems that we always want to finish first.

There is nothing wrong with doing such. Maybe these people believe in the value of time and they want to maximize the time that they have. This might go well with what I believe in that “life is too short, everyone deserves to be happy”.

The problem with rushing things though is the quality, a good foundation and the experience needed for it to last might be lacking. There is also a lack of needed information to make a well thought of decision. Aside from that, what if a better or the best opportunity passes one by after he grabs what was before that? Then, he is stuck with something that he chose before he saw a better one.

Thus, it is also good to take your time. Think things over. Analyze things well. This will lead to a decision that one can truly stand by with.

Let us be more rational and give more thought of things before we take the plunge. As they say, it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Better than being Idle

I remember when I was much younger that I was complaining to my parents how busy I was because I have to study for so many subjects and had to do so many things. Tatay just smiled while my Nanay told me, “It’s better to be busy than to be idle”.

I thought about what my Nanay said. Moreover, she told me when one is idle, there is a chance that you think of negative things and you entertain negative thoughts. What she said truly made sense. It is at the time when we don’t do anything or our mind isn’t busy that we think of the most negative things that brings about paranoia, jealousy, envy, lust, greed and the like. These things aren’t healthy thoughts and they could lead us to do or say some things that we might regret it the future.

So, when you feel that you are too busy or you have a full day or schedule, be thankful because you are blessed with work and other things. It is better than not doing anything and being lazy and unproductive. We also make sure that our mind is used and its potential is reached.

Let’s start being busy with stuff.

Luck is defined by Microsoft Thesaurus as chance, fate, providence and good fortune. Blessings are defined by Microsoft Thesaurus as approval, miracle and a good thing.

Who feels he or she is lucky or otherwise? Who is thankful of the blessings he or she has received? I am sure there are some of us who believe we’ve been lucky in life and there are some who think they have been blessed. How great it would be if we are both lucky and blessed.

I always have believed that one works hard for something in order to obtain it. The more we toiled for something we want, the more value it has. Although, one seems to be truly lucky that everything goes his or her way and God gives the go signal for something to be given to us. It apparently seems that hard work, determination, persistence, luck and blessing work hand in hand for something to transpire.

I hope, pray and wish that each of us will work hard but also be lucky and blessed for us to reach our dreams and desires in life.

Have you ever made any decision when you were really mad or disappointed with someone? Have you ever made a promise with someone when you were all happy and ecstatic?

Each of us may have gone through the highs and lows of our emotions. Emotions are changing and never permanent. We may sometimes decide at those peaks of our emotions and find ourselves regretting the decisions we made or not being able to keep the promises we made. The big problem then follows when we can’t undo what has been done and the damage has hurt others or ourselves.

I learned from my siblings something good to be reminded of every time we make a decision, “Never make a decision when you are angry. Never make a promise when you are happy.” Simple words and statements but they make sense and it would guide us in making well thought of and rational not emotional decisions.

Decide well always and let us make sure we are able to stand by the decisions we make.

Have you ever felt that your prayers were unanswered? Have you ever felt that your request was rejected?

I have learned from my siblings something nice to think of and it goes, “If we ask something from God and we don’t get it, it does not mean He rejected our request but rather it is redirected to something that is best fit for us”.

We may have asked for something that isn’t meant for us or that He has something better in mind that we will even appreciate it more. Let us give our full trust in the Lord. He has good plans for us but we also have to work hard for the things we aim for and He will take care of the rest.
