In her passing away, kind words and showered praises were given to her.

I was only a toddler when she became President and I might only have a vague memory of what she has done for our country during those times. Her role as a democracy icon is one that has given her an immortal and legendary status in the world but that isn’t the only thing that made me admire her.

I admire President Cory for her close relationship with the Lord, for her undying love for her husband who passed away more than 20 years ago but she still remained faithful and true to him..He was her one and only love, for her great love for family, friends and the country, and for her simplicity and humility despite her prominence, wealth, fame, power and influence.

She’s a great moral leader, an awesome mother, a one of a kind wife and she has truly immortalized herself in the minds and hearts of every Filipino.

Her passing away made me feel that I lost a family member and a loved one.

Thank you for everything Madame President and farewell. Your legacy and good works will always be treasured and remembered.

As what I usually say as my battle cry or my usual spiel, Para sa kauswagan sang Syudad sang Iloilo, UGYON Kabataang Ilonggo, UGYON Iloilo. Ilonggos are worth working and fighting for.
